The active ingredient is hydrogen peroxide, which works by releasing oxygen and breaking the plug into smaller, easier-to-remove fragments. In some cases, it even avoids the need for irrigation. In addition to hydrogen peroxide, this product contains a stabilizer that acts as a buffer, allowing a slightly acidic pH to be maintained, in accordance with the physiology of the external auditory canal.
